How To Safari in Africa

As with any business. Selling your product or services is your most important job. How do you separate yourself from the competition, show what makes you unique and say choose me! It is something we are no stranger to, trying to get across what we do and what makes us different from the 100’s of other safari operators out there. So in this article I have decided to do just that. A little ‘How to safari in Africa’ type write up or more like ‘How WE Safari in Africa’.

Join Endless Summer Tours on a once in a lifetime private safari experience.

Kruger park safari in Africa at sunset

From first contact our excellent sales team will work closely with you to take any of our set safari packages and tailor it to your exact needs. Our safaris are completely private, designed for traveling couples, friends and families.

The thing to remember is that our safaris are designed along the lines of a true South African holiday. From the routes driven,to the accommodations, to the meals you will enjoy.

Your private guide, who will be with you every step of the way, will meet you right at the airport or your hotel. From here this highly qualified tour guide will transfer you to the reserve of your choice. Sit back and relax as they explain the history of the area and the country side as you cruise along.

Upon arrival at the reserve, your tour guide now becomes your passionate and extremely knowledgeable safari guide. Once through the park entrance gates you are immediately on game drive, as you make your way to one of the reserve camps for the night. Your guide will take you on a magical journey through the heart of Africa. Pointing out all that nature has to offer, from the big to the very small.

The Reserve Accommodation

Walk the fence and see animals on safari in Africa

We make use of the reserve accommodation in the form of spacious and very comfortable bungalow style units. These are situated in what we call rest camps, out in the wild, but fenced in from any dangerous animals. The main benefit being that you are immersed in the wilderness; sights, smells and noises giving you the real feel of Africa. Leaving your accommodation, you are out in the park, on your safari drive within seconds.

A fence walk is always interesting, giving guests the opportunity to see wildlife right from the camp. Often members of the Big 5 are on offer and at night a chance to see some nocturnal creatures or hyena patrolling the fence.

Your transport

We use a mini bus or SUV to Safari in Africa

Most of your drives will be conducted by your own safari guide in your own private vehicle. These are comfortable, with air conditioning and have access to all the roads in the reserve. We then include 2 open vehicle drives to add a different experience. These can be night drives or early morning drives. Additional ones can be added, or even booked for the entire time, but from years of guests feedback we find this balance works best.

Meals while on Safari

Guide cooks a breakfast on safari in Africa

Meals are served by your multi talented guide in true South African tradition. Dinners are in the form of a Braai (BBQ), cooked on coal and wood. Salads, vegetables and delicious garlic breads, along with some A grade South African meat, never disappoint. In fact the food is always a big talking point in out many excellent reviews. Then enjoy a breakfast on the banks of the river, whipped up on a gas flat top. A full English breakfast served under an acacia tree, with a view of the animals coming down for their mid-morning drink. Now we are talking!

The animals, the park, the experience

Amazing sunsets on safari in Africa

When on safari in Africa, the Big 5 is high on every bodies list and rightly so. We use our expertise and intimate knowledge of the reserves to give you the best chance at ticking off all 5. Then there are other rarities such as cheetah and wild dog, which your guide will also keep his ear to the ground, in order to find. However the African bush has so much more on offer, birds, spectacular views, trees and lesser known creatures. This is where the private aspect of our safaris comes in handy. Your guide uses the multiple days to get to know you personally, host you and fulfill your wish list. Eventually creating an all round experience, tailored to your exact wants and needs. Ultimately using their expertise to maximize the safari experience!
